Parenting Naturally
Empowering yourself and your children
When my first daughter was born I wanted to escape fast-paced society and we headed for the hills, literally! I may have taken natural parenting a little far, and living a very self-sufficient life was a bit difficult at times, but what an amazing experience. I knew that mainstream ways were not all that I wanted for my family so I explored many alternatives, finding what felt right for our overall mental, physical and emotional well-being. Empowering ourselves and our children to be independent thinkers and learning to trust in their own immune system, learning abilities and inner wisdom, is one of the most important things we can ever do.
Pregnancy
When I became pregnant I spoke to a doctor about homebirth. He referred me to a hospital midwife who highly recommended it and referred me to a homebirth group with mums and midwives. Made up of numerous mothers and midwives they shared a wealth of information and their experiences discussing different options, techniques and treatments. The support I received was wonderful as I informed, educated and empowered myself. I had two beautiful homebirths. Whether you choose home, hospital or birthing centre for your birth, empowering yourself is the most important key!

Natural Health
Both of my girls did not need to see a doctor until they were well into their teen years. I gained wonderful support and advice from natural practitioners who assisted me to build their own natural health and immunity. Between them they experienced all of the childhood diseases and now have full natural immunity.
Homeschooling
I went on to homeschool both of my girls, my eldest starting school at year 8, my younger daughter at year 6. I am so happy with my choice to do so. They are now both strong, educated and independent young women. If I had my time again, and we had a good support system in place I would certainly have liked to homeschool all the way through. There are many wonderful groups forming in many areas to bring like-minded people together.
Dyslexia, learning difficulties, mini seizures
At twelve years of age my daughter Lily was suffering with:
* Digestive problems * Recurrent colds
* Learning disorder * Dyslexia
* Mini seizures * Fainting spells
This all disappeared after one Dr Clark Zapper session to kill pathogens. Her schooling took off, so did her dancing and surfing, and at fifteen she won an Australian junior longboard surfing title.
